5 Channels of ADT Protection

ADT monitored security systems give you several channels of protection.
Each provides a vital security service for you and your family.

securityBurglary

A touch pad is placed next to the door you use most often. And, it’s easier to use than your telephone as there are only 4 numbers to press when setting or disarming your system.

When you’re ready to leave your home, on your way out, simply enter your 4 digit master code and press “ AWAY” on your key pad. Your system will be activated instantly, except for the main entry door. This door will arm 30 seconds later. Your system is now activated, close the door and lock it.

When you return home and open the door, your ADT monitored system will greet you with a friendly chirping sound. What the system is saying is “Welcome home, everything is fine. There have been no problems. Please come in and turn me off.” Then simply enter your master code and press the off button.

Intrusion

Now, before you go to bed, simply enter your master code and the “stay” button.
This will turn on all of your system except the motion detectors. This allows you to get up at night without setting off the system.

familyIf an intruder attempts to break in during the night, the siren will sound and the system will immediately transmit all vital information to the command center. They will know who you are, where you live, what door or window has been violated and the police will be dispatched.

burglary24 Hour Police Emergency

If you get up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water and you see someone suspicious in the back yard, you don’t have to wait for them to break in before help is on the way. Simply go to your keypad and press the ‘Emergency & Panic’ buttons.

The system will alert the command center and the police are now on their way.

The police emergency channel is active all the time, even when the system is turned off. Therefore, it doesn’t matter what time of day you need help, your ADT monitored security system is always ready to call for help.

fire1The Threat of Fire

You have about 2 minutes after your smoke detector sounds, to get you and your family out of a burning house. By the time the smoke detector goes off, the house is already filled with smoke. You and your children may be dizzy and disoriented from the noxious fumes. You’ve have been woken up from a deep sleep with the detector blaring. You wake up your spouse and they are confused and disoriented as well. You grab the children and run them outside with your spouse. Now you call 911.

911 is a great service for people who don’t have a professionally monitored security system. But did you know that 911 operators must ask you up to 14 questions, before they can dispatch help? That’s a very long time when your home is on fire.

With an ADT monitored security system, your local fire department is automatically contacted when the smoke detector sounds. The system immediately sends the fire signal. All your critical information is already on file at the command center. The fire department is immediately dispatched and already on their way by the time you and your family are outside the burning house.

medical124-Hour Medical Emergency

The threat of a medical crisis is always around and in an emergency, seconds count. With an ADT monitored security system you simply press the ‘medical’ buttons to alert the command center and medical emergency vehicles on their way.

chimeChime Feature

folksImagine you are busy and the children (or grandchildren) are playing down in the living room. You’ve told them not to go outside until you come back because you don’t want them running out into the street. You’ve set your home security system on “Chime”. If the children forget your warning and open the door, the system will alert you with the chime. The chime feature provides you with peace-of-mind in many situations:

  • For the elderly, who may wonder out of the house without you knowing.
  • For homes with swimming pools, ponds or creeks in their backyards.
  • For those at home alone during the day or evening.
